1. Who we are and how to reach us
These terms are between you and Verivello Ltd, a company incorporated in England and Wales (Company Number 17175225), with its registered office at 128 City Road, London, EC1V 2NX.
You can contact us at info@verivello.co.uk. We aim to respond to enquiries within one business day.
2. Accepting these terms
By placing an order through verivello.co.uk, you confirm that you have read, understood and agree to these Terms of Service. If you are ordering on behalf of a business or organisation, you confirm that you have authority to place the order for that business or organisation.
The version of these terms shown at the time of your order applies to that order. We recommend saving or printing a copy for your records.
3. Our service
Verivello provides human-reviewed company reports on UK-registered businesses. Reports are prepared from publicly available registers and open-source records, which may include Companies House, the FCA Register, the ICO Register, the Gazette, the Insolvency Service, HMRC published lists, sanctions lists, court and tribunal sources, regulator registers and other sources relevant to the report tier ordered.
We offer three report tiers (Basic, Standard and Premium) as described on our website. The contents of each tier are set out on the pricing page at the time you place your order. Some checks depend on the company type, sector, public filing history and availability of source data.
4. Ordering a report
A binding contract between you and Verivello is formed when we send you an order confirmation following successful payment. We reserve the right to decline an order and issue a full refund, for example if the company cannot be identified, if the requested report cannot reasonably be produced, or if we reasonably believe the order may relate to an unlawful or inappropriate purpose.
Please make sure the company name or number you provide is accurate. We will research the company you specify. We are not responsible for errors or delays caused by incorrect or incomplete information supplied by you.
5. Pricing, payment & VAT
Prices are displayed in pounds sterling (GBP). The price shown at checkout is the price you will pay. If VAT applies, it will be included in the price or clearly shown at checkout.
Payment is taken in full at the time of order via Stripe, our payment processor. We do not store your card details. By placing an order, you agree to be bound by Stripe's Terms of Service. Stripe's use of your payment data is governed by Stripe's Privacy Policy.
If your payment is declined, no order is placed and no contract is formed. You will need to retry with a valid payment method.
We may change our prices at any time, but price changes will not affect orders already confirmed.
6. Delivery
We aim to deliver your completed PDF report to the email address you provide within 24–48 hours of order confirmation. This is an estimated delivery timeframe, not a guaranteed deadline.
Orders placed outside normal working hours, at weekends or on UK bank holidays may begin processing on the next business day. If we are unable to meet the expected timeframe, we will let you know and provide a revised estimate.
Please check your spam or junk folder if you do not receive your report within the stated timeframe. If you experience delivery issues, contact us at info@verivello.co.uk.
7. Your right to cancel (Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013)
If you are a consumer (an individual purchasing otherwise than in the course of a business), you may have a right to cancel your order within 14 calendar days of placing it, without giving a reason.
Because our reports are bespoke services prepared to order and delivered electronically, we may ask you at checkout to request that we begin work during the 14-day cancellation period and to acknowledge that your cancellation rights may be affected once the service has been fully performed or the report has been supplied.
If you wish to cancel, email us immediately at info@verivello.co.uk. If research has not yet begun, we will issue a full refund. If work has already begun but the report has not yet been completed, we will consider the stage of work completed and your statutory rights before deciding whether a refund is due.
This section applies to consumers. Business customers do not have the same consumer cancellation rights.
8. Refunds
Each report involves manual research and is prepared to order. Refunds will normally be provided in the following circumstances:
- The company you specified cannot be identified in the relevant UK public registers and we are unable to produce a report
- We decline your order before starting work
- We fail to deliver the report within 5 business days of order confirmation and have not communicated a reason or agreed an extension with you
- The report contains substantial factual errors caused by us, which we are unable to correct within a reasonable time
- You cancel before research has begun, as described in Section 7 above
To request a refund, please email info@verivello.co.uk with your order details. Eligible refunds will be processed to the original payment method within 14 days.
Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 or other applicable law.
9. Nature of our reports & no advice
Our reports are compiled from data published by public registers, public bodies and other publicly available sources. We take reasonable care when compiling reports, but we cannot guarantee that third-party source data is complete, current or free from errors at the time of compilation.
Reports are provided for informational and background research purposes only. They do not constitute and must not be relied upon as legal, financial, tax, regulatory, investment, accounting or any other form of professional advice.
Verivello is not a credit reference agency and is not authorised or regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority. Any "factual flags", "analyst notes" or similar commentary included in a report are observations based on publicly available data only. They are not a credit score, credit assessment, regulatory decision, AML/KYC certification or professional opinion.
You are responsible for making your own independent assessment of any company and for taking appropriate professional advice before making business, financial, employment, tenancy or other decisions.
10. Intellectual property
The report delivered to you is licensed for your own internal business use only. You may share it within your organisation and with professional advisers acting for you. You must not resell, sublicense, publish or distribute the report, or any substantial part of it, to third parties without our prior written consent.
The underlying public-source data in our reports remains subject to the relevant source terms, including the Open Government Licence v3.0 where applicable. Our original formatting, compilation, summaries and commentary remain the intellectual property of Verivello Ltd.
11. Acceptable use
You agree to use our reports only for lawful, fair and proportionate purposes. In particular, you must not:
- Use a report to harass, stalk, threaten or harm any individual
- Use a report to make unlawful or unfair decisions about individuals, including employment, tenancy, credit or insurance decisions
- Use a report in a way that breaches UK GDPR, the Equality Act 2010 or any other applicable law
- Use a report in connection with fraudulent, criminal or money-laundering activity
- Represent our reports as your own work product, as a regulated credit report, or as produced by a regulated firm
- Resell or commercialise a report without our written consent
We reserve the right to refuse future orders from customers who breach these acceptable use provisions.
12. Our liability to you
We do not exclude or limit our liability where it would be unlawful to do so. This includes liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, and any liability that cannot be excluded under consumer protection law.
Subject to the above, and to the extent permitted by law:
- Our total liability to you in connection with any report will not exceed the amount you paid for that report
- We are not liable for indirect, special or consequential losses, including loss of profit, loss of business, business interruption, loss of opportunity or reputational damage
- We are not liable for losses arising from changes to public records after a report is prepared, inaccuracies in third-party source data, or your use of a report for purposes outside these terms
13. Data protection
We process personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy and in line with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018. By placing an order you acknowledge that you have had the opportunity to read our Privacy Policy.
Where a report includes information about individuals, such as directors or persons with significant control, that information is sourced from public registers or other public sources. Our Privacy Policy explains the lawful basis on which we process that information.
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. The version in force at the time you place an order is the version that applies to that order. We will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page when changes are made.
15. Governing law & disputes
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If a dispute arises, please contact us first at info@verivello.co.uk so that we can try to resolve it informally.
If we cannot resolve a dispute informally, the courts of England and Wales will have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer resident in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you may also bring proceedings in the courts of your home jurisdiction.
We are not currently committed to a specific alternative dispute resolution provider. If a dispute cannot be resolved directly, we will consider reasonable proposals for mediation or another suitable dispute-resolution process.
